IFTTT- PUT THE INTERNET TO WORK FOR YOU

IFTTT stands for ‘if this then that’. It is a service that connects two services together seamlessly, using recipes (or formulas) that include a trigger and an action. So, when a specified trigger takes place in one channel, an action takes place in the other.

IFTTT is a powerful tool that allows users to connect up to 203 unrelated  channels and make things happen, in an ingenious way.

Evernote – Remember everything and save anything in one place.

evernote

Are you someone who has a poor understanding of life and work balance, always thinking about everything? You need a tool that will help you remember everything and save anything in one place.

One of my favorite tools is EVERNOTE, the world’s best way to organize your life. It is not only your digital notebook, but it is the extension of your mind.

Evernote let you remember all the information coming at you in whatever way was easiest at the time, whether it was audio, images, text, web clips or documents. One place where you can put everything and always be able to find it. You can search for the words in it and find it, that’s the new definition of what productivity should be.

Evernote is a tool that is simple and flexible, and is fairly free-form, so you can create whatever structure works best for you. I use Evernote as my “digital brain” to store ideas, notes, web clips, receipts, recipes, important documents, event details, and more. I couldn’t get along without it.

PicMonkey

Picture Editing is one of my favorite hobbies. I have used many different tools to edit my pictures from Picasa, Print artist, Picture IT and so on, except Photoshop. How I wish I know how to use Photoshop but I’m much excited to start editing my pictures than studying how to of Photoshop.

I use PicMonkey instead and I’m able to turn boring images into better, more eye-catching visual masterpieces for my blog and social media post. It’s an awesome site that lets you edit images for free without having to register or download any software. PicMonkey is a browser-based app that allows anyone with a flash-supporting computer and Internet access to utilize the app.

For a quick and easy way to alter your images for any reason, PicMonkey has a lot to offer.  Tools are comprehensible and the functionality is incredible even for the free account. Each function can be added to an image with a simple click of the button and altered depending on your needs and artistic expressions.

Images can be saved in .jpg or .png file types only, which is perfect for sharing on a website or across social media platforms.

It’s fun, fast, and easy. Try it out and let me know what you think!

Pocket

how to use pocket

I love reading books, ebooks and articles on the internet. Every time I come across an article, web page, or video I want to read at another time I just use the bookmarklet to save it to my Pocket account. It automatically syncs to your phone, tablet or computer so you can view it at any time, even without an internet connection. If I have something in Pocket that I want to save for reference I can export it to Evernote which serves as my long-term filing system.

One of Pocket’s biggest new features is the ability to filter by content type; you can sort by image, video, and traditional text. Filtering by video reveals a grid of thumbnails of videos you’ve saved across Vimeo, YouTube, and other services. You can tag articles for easy sorting and filter. Pocket also parses the content from pages you save, and strips away unnecessary formatting, ads and more, so the reading experience is seamless.

It’s a great tool to organize all of the information you consume.
